A few days ago, I turned 37. 🎂

If you know me, you know I find it almost impossible to slow down. But over the last few days, I forced myself to pause and take a breath. And honestly? It hit me with a wave of deep emotion.

I’ve had to do a lot of reflecting lately. I found myself in a dark, difficult place after going through things that tested every single part of me. For a long time, I was too giving, too soft, and I let the wrong people take advantage of my kindness—to the point where my soul was bleeding and I knew something had to fundamentally change.

I had a choice: give up, or evolve.

I looked at everything I’ve built, everything I’ve survived, and I realized I’m far too proud of how far I’ve come to stop now. It would be a crime to give up on myself.

So, welcome to 37. Welcome to the new version of me.

This version still cares—deeply—but only for the people, clients, and community who truly deserve it. I’ve set my boundaries, and a new fire has been lit inside my soul that burns stronger than ever. I am ready to fight for my vision, my business, and my worth.

I am so, so excited to see what this next chapter brings for Kus Designs and for my life. To everyone who has stood by me, supported my work, and poured light into my journey: thank you from the bottom of my heart because I would never do this without you!

Last month, I had the privilege of capturing an incredible networking event hosted by the amazing team at @fireflyhub . But this wasn’t just any regular business meet up—it was a room fuelled by pure purpose.

We were joined by the truly inspiring team from Candlelighters Trust , a charity doing vital work for children and families facing cancer. To make it even more special, P.J Staffing launched their brilliant Pink it Up 2026 campaign in support of the trust! It was great to see Mark from @hootingowldistilleryyork supporting the event as well!

I’ve always been someone who loves the sun. But in a strange twist, the sun became something that can now physically hurt my body .

But they say when one door closes, a window opens, and for me, that window was the Golden Hour.

In the past years, my absolute "best friend" has been the sun going down. It’s when the heat fades and the light becomes soft, thick, and utterly magical. When the world is quiet and the light is perfect, we wander. 🐾

For me, this isn't just about "taking a walk." It’s about charging my batteries, grounding myself in the North Yorkshire earth, and just being. It’s my time of quiet wonder. It’s when I explore the journey with my camera, capturing that beautiful light.

I’ve recently been behind the lens at this stunning new spot in Knaresborough (you have to see it on Airbnb to believe it). It’s a masterclass in attention to detail.

In 2026, the short-term rental market isn't just about a bed and a roof—it’s about the experience. This host didn't just decorate; they curated a creative vibe that demands to be felt. My job? To close the gap between how incredible this place feels in person and how it looks on a screen.

It was a total pleasure to be back in London for the Firefly Hub Networking event at the impressive Barclays Bank space.

Walking those vibrant streets again brought back so many memories of my days at London Uni—the same energy, but a completely new perspective. There is something so rewarding about returning to the streets where you started, now connecting with such passionate business community.

A huge thank you to the organisers for such a brilliant evening of connection and conversation. It’s always a full-circle moment to see how much has changed, and how much is still to come! 🦁💼
